touch football

Today’s Activity:

Thanks to our reader Heidi for passing along this idea.  Pack up the kids and head over to a nearby school or park with a large field and play a game of touch football.

Note:

If you don’t have a football any ball will do, just set up a goal, throw the ball and RUN!  Also, if you can’t make it to the park just do what you can in your yard.

Reminder:

Have you been listening to your music?

Evaluate:

This was a lot of fun.  Kick the can and touch football have been really enjoyable and active activities.  Max had a great time trying to keep me from getting a goal while Elese couldn’t seem to hold onto the ball…if only her baby doll could have been considered the football.  I had a busy day so it worked out much nicer for us to do this activity in our yard rather than at a park.  Don’t worry about playing with ALL the rules…just catch the ball and run with it.  You can even play with just two people.
