Today’s Activity:

Today should be the play date for your little ones.

Note:

You can either keep them entertained or enjoy a little quite time while they entertain each other.

Evaluate:

Elese has been very excited to have Ethan come over and play and it is apparent that SHE is the talkative one.  It worked out great having him come over right after school so that they can entertain each other while I help Max with his homework.

Today’s Activity:

You should have scheduled a play date for your children and their friends.  You can either plan a game or activity for them to do or enjoy some time to yourself while they entertain themselves.

Note:

It is Friday the 13th so you could rent them Freaky Friday or even make some creepy looking treats.  If you feel like you need to entertain them then check out the Categories section on the side bar and search activities we have done in the past.  You can also look at the Games section under Birthdays.

Evaluate:

This play date turned out GREAT for me.  When I called to confirm in the morning my friend told me her SIL had just gone into labor and she was watching her niece so she couldn’t bring her son over but that I could take Elese over there.  Once I got there my GREAT friend saw that Max and her niece were the same age so she invited Max to stay too.  It was a great break!

This is Elese patiently waiting to go play with her friend, but more importantly her friends baby twin sisters.

Today’s Activity:

Today is veteran’s day and although we generally relate veteran’s to those who have served in a war the term can also be used for someone that has worked very long and hard in any profession, including being a mother.  Find some time for yourself today.  If you need to turn on a movie to get some quiet or force your children to take a nap then that’s just fine.  Go in your room with a book, magazine, newspaper, or even an alarm clock and relax.

Note:

I try to set aside a few minutes for myself everyday to read or sometimes just think.  Even if it only ends up being 5 minutes I still feel rejuvenated.

Evaluate:

If you are anything like me “me time” consists of relaxing while my mind goes over my to do list of things that I should be doing rather than having me time.  The only way for me to escape my daily tasks is to go into a room that is semi-clean and has fewer things to distract me…today that was the front room/TV room.   I enjoyed some down time filing my nails and watching Rachel Ray.  It was some much needed me time….which makes up for the many interruptions I’ve gotten while typing this.

Prepare:

Schedule a play date for your children on Friday the 13th.
