Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentines day!
Today I watched a movie with Elese and volunteered at Max’s school to help with the Valentines party and…I forgot to do today’s activity but at least I did something good.

Teach your little ones about Chinese New year and Valentines.
Valentines & Chinese New Year will be celebrated tomorrow.

Today I let Elese take her time as we walked home from dropping off Max for school. I enjoyed watching her collect sticks and sing a little song she made up, “Magic, magic come alive and count to number five. One, two, three, four, five!”

It’s baking day!
If you would like you could bake something Valentiny and leave some on a neighbors door step as a special Valentine surprise.
We were having a cookie exchange for a church activity so we decided to bake my favorite cookies, Rolo cookies. We’ve made them here before. Here’s the link with details. My kids love them and they can help unwrap the rolos without getting in the way of the actual baking.
Joylyn took her kids to the adventure club at their mall. I’ve never heard of that but it sounds like fun!
Come on ladies! You all deserve some recognition. What did you do today?
Today I helped Max put together his lego set that Grandma gave him for his Birthday.

Help your little ones write their names on Valentines for their school friends.
If they are learning to write make sure that they write their name on their own, it’s good practice.
For the most part the kids enjoyed this but they were really more excited about eating the leftover Valentine treats than they were about labeling cards for their friends. Silly kids.
Ok, new rule. I will do the $25 GC giveaway to the person with the most comments but they have to leave at least 5 comments.
So far I’ve only been left 3 comments and I KNOW that you moms are doing a lot of good things for your kids. Please let us celebrate your mothering no matter how big or small!
What I did nice today was kiss my daughters dirty smelly toe after she stubbed it.

In the spirit of Valentine ’s Day, which is fast approaching, take some time today to write each of your children a little love note. Write this in a place where they can find and appreciate it when they are old enough to read it.
If you blog and turn your blog into a blog book each year then you could write the note to them on your blog. Otherwise a journal of yours, one you have created for your children, or even just a blank page in their baby book will work great.
This was really enjoyable for me to take the time to focus on my kids good qualities. When I read them the letters they smiled so big which mad it even a better experience. I wrote them on loose piece of paper and I’m going to put it in their journals.
